If you're a Nissan TITAN owner in the Marion, Herrin, or Carbondale, IL, area, one of the best ways to extend the life of your truck is by following its maintenance schedule. This can be found in your owner's manual or online.

To make it even easier to refer to key service intervals, our team here at Watermark Nissan of Marion put together this Nissan TITAN maintenance schedule. As you read on, feel free to contact us with any questions!

Overview of Nissan TITAN Maintenance Schedules

Depending on the conditions in which you operate your truck, you will want to follow either an off-road, severe-use, or normal-use maintenance schedule.

When you take your Nissan TITAN off-road, specifically over deep sand, mud, and/or water, you should have the following inspected:

  • Brake pads/rotors and brake lines/hoses
  • Differential, transmission, and transfer case oil
  • Steering linkage
  • Propeller shaft(s) and front drive shafts
  • Engine air filter
  • Clutch housing drain (4WD only)

Severe-use conditions include regularly taking short (less than 5-mile) trips, driving in stop-and-go traffic in high temperatures, traveling in dusty or challenging conditions, and/or towing things with your truck.

If you don't go off-road often and otherwise drive in normal conditions without towing, you should follow the normal-use maintenance schedule. Below, you will find an overview of several important service intervals in the normal-use maintenance schedule.

Every 15,000 miles/12 months (Whichever Comes First)
At this maintenance interval, you should bring your Nissan TITAN in for the following:

  • Engine oil and filter replacement
  • In-cabin microfilter replacement
  • Tire rotation

Changing the oil and filter will ensure your engine is lubricated and protected. A new in-cabin microfilter will help keep dust and allergens out of your truck's cabin, and a tire rotation will ensure more even tread across all four tires, which improves control and traction.

In addition to these services, you should have a Nissan service technician inspect the brake pads/rotors, vehicle fluids (engine, wiper, brake, power steering, and coolant), battery, tire pressure, depth, and tread, as well as the transfer case fluid and drive shaft boots if you have a 4WD model.

30,000 miles/24 months (Whichever Comes First)

At this interval, you'll want to have the same services repeated as above, along with the following:

  • Engine air filter replacement
  • Brake fluid replacement

Replacing the engine air filter can protect the engine and help make sure it gets enough air, while replacing the brake fluid in your truck can ensure that your brakes can continue functioning properly.

If you have a Nissan TITAN XD model, you should also have a service technician lubricate your steering stopper cap.

45,000 miles/36 months (Whichever Comes First)

When you reach this point, you should:

  • Intelligent Key battery replacement

This will ensure you can continue to lock/unlock the doors and open the trunk remotely and turn your truck by pushing the on button.

105,000 miles/84 months (Whichever Comes First)

When you reach this milestone, you'll want to repeat the other regular services mentioned above, as well as:

  • Engine coolant replacement
  • Spark plug replacement

Keeping up with this service will help regulate your engine's temperature and enable you to start your truck.
